Southern Testing Complete ‘Color Run’ for Macmillan Cancer Support

Congratulations to three of our secretaries, Amy, Becky and Emily who took part in ‘The Color Run’ to help raise money for their chosen charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, on Saturday 17th September in Brighton. ‘The Color Run’ celebrates health, happiness and friendship whilst getting coated in coloured powder.

The girls ran 5km, starting from the Brighton Marina to the Brighton Pier and back whilst running through various sponsored colour segments at each kilometre, where they got covered in coloured powder and ended the run looking like all the colours of the rainbow. Afterwards, the girls joined in with what is known as the ‘Finish Festival,’ where all participants celebrate completing the run by being showered in even more coloured powder to compliment their final look.

Our Senior Engineer Andy Holley was also involved in the challenge with his family taking part, who all looked geared up for the occasion.

The week before their run, the girls were busy baking lots of delicious cakes in order to help raise the money, which so far, collectively came to a grand total of £242.00. The girls wish to say a massive thank you to Southern Testing and its employees for helping them raise the money for their chosen charity and the support they all received for running the race.
