Southern Testing uses Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) to capture detailed geospatial data for use in ground investigations that support every stage of construction — from feasibility and planning through to build and asset management. We use this data to complement our other ground investigation services, which are founded on over 60 years of experience.

We use UAS surveys utilizing photogrammetry, LIDAR and multi-spectral analysis in land stability assessment (both soil slopes and rock faces), cavity surveys/inspections, to identify anomalous features, and water detection. Our services also include general surveying, e.g., stockpile volume measurements, recording progress on busy sites, and surveying on large or wooded sites.
