The scope of works proposed by the Engineer included, trial pits, boreholes and soakage testing to provide information to enable the design of the foundations, retaining walls, working platforms, soakaways, car parking and roads.

Salmestone School, Margate, Kent
The scope of works initially required by the Client comprised a Phase 1 Desk Study and Walkover Survey. This was then followed up with a detailed ground Investigation including geophysical (ground penetrating radar survey) to assess the extent of below ground voids, foundation bearing capacity and other soil parameters relevant to the proposed development, as well as assessing the likely nature and extent of soil, groundwater and soil gas contamination.

Cambridge University
Ground investigation for the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy buildings at Cambridge University. The scope of works specified by the Engineer included cable percussive boreholes, windowless sampler boreholes, installation of monitoring wells, CBR testing, land gas and groundwater monitoring, laboratory analysis and factual reporting.

Detailed Phase II geotechnical and environmental investigation including risk assessment for a proposed extensions to the existing school buildings.
